In the Kilkenny polling booth the ALP first preference vote fell by 22% from its 2006 level. Former Attorney General Mick Atkinson fared best in last months state election in the booths of Brompton, Croydon and Flinders Park, with loss of first preferences only two to three points above the state-wide swing.
Advance voting figures are of course not broken down into postal areas, so the booth results are not a complete picture. But they do indicate that the areas of Croydon Park, Croydon Park West and Findon followed the ALPs’ state-wide worse-case scenario with swings of around 17% on first preference totals in 2006.
